Laminitis is the disorder of animal metabolism. It occurs when the transition of cows is taking too long. One of the effects of the disease is the abnormal horn formation. Due to that the posture of cows becomes irregular, the hoof bows, horizontal rings of the shoe growth, yellow or red spots in the sole horn and defects of the white line become apparent. Complications related to this disease are ulcers appearing on the outside of the hooves of rear feet. Laminitis could be prevented by timely and good quality trimming and proper feeding of animals.
